I know I’m not alone. I carried an ache in my heart that no one saw, wishing I could quiet the voices that I was somehow both too much and not enough.
The uneasiness I felt deep in my cells was a silent scream of anger and sorrow.
My journey to see who I really was, without the layers of protection, required deep honesty and a willingness to surrender false beliefs and worn-out habits, so I could finally feel peace.
I work primarily with women because we fight internal battles from the pervasive socialization that we have to work twice as hard while preferably making ourselves invisible at the same time.
I bridge science, spirituality and sexuality. I’m one of the few practitioners who addresses the whole person without compartmentalizing you into “work self” versus “relationship self” versus “sexual self.”
What I do is part practical strategy, part soul level guidance, and part inner power through feminine sexuality.
Because:
I want you to lose the baggage of restrictions, and the fears and hurts that came with them, and keep your life earned wisdom; honoring yourself courageously with self-compassion and confidence.
At seven years old, I learned I wasn’t safe to be me.
After telling my mom about the mystical visions I saw and the voices I heard, she washed my mouth out with soap and made me stand in the corner to confess my sins.
From then on, hiding became the strategy – anything that might be too much, too different, too me.
Striving to be who was expected, but conforming to rules didn’t work. Anxiety became my default setting coupled with angry outbursts and rebellious behavior. The black sheep. The troublemaker. And desperately lonely.
I craved a deep sense of love and belonging without contorting who I was to be acceptable. To meet other’s expectations. Or perhaps worse, the expectations I learned to place on myself.
My early wounds turned into a decades long quest to figure out what was wrong with me. Why wasn’t I good enough? Why didn’t I matter?
At thirteen I enrolled in my first of many psychology courses. Postpartum depression lingered for two decades. The early loss of my mom (ironically, soon after we had a meeting of our hearts). Messy divorce. And the isolation of raising two young children on my own.
Then my friend Cindy gifted me a copy of Marianne Williamson’s #1 bestseller: A Return to Love. It broke my heart open.
While I’d immersed myself in the sciences of psychology and human behavior, Williamson’s book sparked a return to my childhood spirituality.
Turns out nothing was wrong with me. I just needed to feel safe to be myself. And lose the baggage that kept me small and fragmented.
Years of various practitioners to address different parts of me, I slowly began to feel whole. With one exception. My sexuality. Which for a long time I used as a vehicle to feel loved.
Course after course led to a doctorate in human sexuality. Everything was falling into place.
But it wasn’t until my second marriage nearly collapsed that the biggest shift happened. I could have left. Instead, I chose to walk my talk and pour everything I knew to be true into my relationship.
Bridging science, spirituality and sexuality became the backbone of my work. Safety the non-negotiable foundation.
The methodology? Working on the Five Dimensions of Transformation simultaneously: body, mind, emotions, spirit, soul. It brings each dimension into intimate connection with the others – like the gears of a finely crafted watch – creating lasting transformation that no single dimension could achieve alone.
Unrestricted Intimacy™ isn’t just a clever turn of phrase. It’s your birthright! To live without the burden of restrictions and having an intimate relationship with yourself, your soul, others, and life. It’s how you move through every area of your world with self-trust and confidence.
It’s what I’ve been building toward my entire life. Today I have a happy, healthy marriage. But more importantly, I love, own and express all of who I am.
I am living Unrestricted Intimacy™
To liberate women from self-restriction so they can freely be their true selves and live with the aliveness, freedom, and deep connection that has always been their birthright.
I envision a world where all women feel safe to be and express their whole selves; and that freedom liberates and connects everyone in the highest form of humanity – love.
